Heidelberg Engineering expands Leadership Team with Appointments of Dr. Stéphanie Magazzeni and Dr. Holger Ruchatz

Heidelberg Engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of two senior leaders to strengthen its leadership team. Dr. Stéphanie Magazzeni will join as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) on August 25, 2025, and Dr. Holger Ruchatz will assume the role of Head of Product Management on September 1, 2025.

Heidelberg, Germany, August 20, 2025 – Heidelberg Engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of two senior leaders to strengthen its leadership team. Dr. Stéphanie Magazzeni will join as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) on August 25, 2025, and Dr. Holger Ruchatz will assume the role of Head of Product Management on September 1, 2025. These appointments are part of a strategic reorganization aimed at providing clearer mandates and targeted investment in key functional domains.

Dr. Stéphanie Magazzeni brings over 25 years of leadership experience in medical technology, with a strong focus on ophthalmology and big data. At Carl Zeiss Meditec, she led global scientific collaborations and was instrumental in launching landmark products.

Dr. Holger Ruchatz brings over 20 years of experience in product management and business development, having held key roles at Prior Scientific, Vision Ophthalmology Group (now AddVision), and most recently Carl Zeiss Meditec, where he led the product management team for the Corneal Refractive Business Unit and previously developed the “Essential Line” of basic diagnostic instruments.
