Dr. Fanelli has made significant contributions to eye care through his service in professional organizations and educational programming. A few of his distinguished accomplishments include past president of the North Carolina State Board of Examiners in Optometry, past trustee and continuing education chairman of the North Carolina State Optometric Society, educational chairman of the EyeSki Optometric Conference, program coordinator of the CE in Italy program, education coordinator of the All Things OCT Conference, contributing editor for Review of Optometry, and author of the bi-monthly Glaucoma Grand Rounds column.
