Prof. Dr. Steffen Schmitz-Valckenberg, MD, FEBO, is the Jon M. Huntsman Presidential Professor at the John A. Moran Eye Center, University of Utah (USA). He is an internationally recognized expert in retinal imaging and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and has significantly contributed to establishing fundus autofluorescence imaging as a clinical trial endpoint. His research focuses on innovative retinal imaging and geographic atrophy.
