Heidelberg Engineering will present its latest innovations in ophthalmic imaging and data management at ARVO 2026 underscoring its enduring commitment to Innovation, Collaboration, and Research.

Heidelberg, April 27, 2026 – Heidelberg Engineering will present its latest innovations in ophthalmic imaging and data management at ARVO 2026 underscoring its enduring commitment to Innovation, Collaboration, and Research. The meeting will also mark the first time the full EssilorLuxottica med-tech organization will come together at a shared exhibition booth.
As a key pillar of the Group’s med-tech organization, Heidelberg Engineering continues to advance technologies that address real clinical needs and support progress in eye care and clinical research.
At ARVO 2026, Heidelberg Engineering will introduce to the global ophthalmology community the premiere of its Multimodal Imaging Platform with Ultra High Resolution OCT. Designed to deliver unprecedented image quality - marking a new era in imaging. Combined with high-fidelity AI from RetinAI, it will feature the first truly automated DICOM workflow. The workflow goes from image acquisition on the Multimodal Imaging Platform with Ultra High Resolution OCT, to automated upload to the cloud and seamless AI-powered analysis in RetinAI Discovery all while offering native DICOM format from A-Z, standardized, fully secured and seamless.
Another major highlight at the booth will be Heidelberg OPERA, the digital surgical microscope with intraoperative OCT. By enabling real-time visualization during surgery, Heidelberg OPERA is designed to enhance surgical precision and help shape the future of digital ophthalmic surgery.
Additional advancements include Green Autofluorescence, 250 kHz scan speed with Enhanced TruTrack for OCTA, and Dense ART scans developed for SPECTRALIS®. For ANTERION®, Heidelberg Engineering will present Key Measurements Exports, enabling integration with other DICOM-supported applications.
Furthermore, new developments in HEYEX 2, additions to Heidelberg AppWay, and a browser-based HEYEX 2 solution will enable secure, flexible remote access to imaging data. Together, these innovations contribute to a broad, integrated portfolio of advanced imaging and data solutions.

ARVO provides a key platform for Heidelberg Engineering to strengthen collaboration with clinicians, key opinion leaders, and researchers worldwide. These exchanges are central to ensuring that innovation remains closely aligned with the needs of clinical practice and scientific research. As in previous years, Heidelberg Engineering will present the Xtreme Research Award at ARVO 2026, recognizing outstanding contributions that advance eye care and improve patient outcomes.
“ARVO brings together the principles that define Heidelberg Engineering—innovation, collaboration, and research,” said Stéphanie Magazzeni, Chief Scientific Officer. “As part of the EssilorLuxottica Group, we are proud to contribute as a key driver of medtech innovation and foster collaboration with clinicians and researchers across the globe.”
Visitors are invited to explore these innovations at booth #9001 & #9009.
