Can the Spectralis HRA be upgraded to the 6-mode HRA+OCT?
Yes. The 2 mode and 5 mode version can be upgraded to the 6 mode HRA+OCT.

Can I change the date of an exam?
No, exams are time-stamped by the software and cannot be altered after acquisition.
This is to ensure compliance with Federal guidelines and that patient data is not illegally altered.
If the date on the computer is not correct, it will incorrectly date acquired images
Immediately amend an incorrect date through the date and time control panel in the Microsoft Windows software:To amend the date and time on your instrument:
Double-left-click on the time in the bottom right corner of your Windows desktop
Correct the date and time
Click on "Apply"

Can iris angiographies be done with the HRA C/2?
Yes,but it will take longer for the dye to reach the iris than it takes to get to the retina.The fluorescense will be much less and will wash out in 2 to 4 minutes.Use higher magnification options.

Do I have to manually select which patients to archive?
No, the Eye Explorer software automatically keeps track of which images have to be archived and therefore images do not have to be manually selected.

How do I merge two patient records together or move images to another record?
Duplicate patient records or images acquired under the wrong patient name may be corrected for by using the "Change Patient Feature."

How often should I archive?
Archiving protects images from being irretrievably lost due to a system crash. It is recommended to archive daily or at least once per week to protect acquired images.

Is it possible to hand draw an area and get the area calculation/measurement ?
Yes, the area measurement can be displayed for a free hand drawing on an HRA image. Select the overlay that is a circle symbol (region overlay) and draw your region making sure that the end point meets at the small blue square that is created at your starting point. Right-mouse-click on the small blue square and choose “overlay properties” from the context menu. Check the box next to “Display area size in mm²” and select the “OK” button at the bottom. How do you print multiple OCT images from a volume scan?
To print multiple OCT images from a volume scan, begin by right-clicking on the volume icon and selecting "expand." Double left-click to open one of the "expanded" images. Use the right and left arrow keys on the keyboard to skip to each image in the series and press the down arrow key to put an individual image in the Lightbox. Close the expanded image and highlight the images in the Lightbox. Right-click on one of the highlighted images and select "print" from the context menu. Select the option “16 images per page”. Select “print”.

The SPECTRALIS product family continues to grow, and there are now seven (7) SPECTRALIS models available in the US. 1. If you have multiple Heidelberg Engineering instruments with separate databases, you can export a copy of patient records from one database and then import the records into the other database.
2. To export patient records, load all desired patient records > right mouse click > select the instrument’s “Batch” > click Export as E2E
3. To import patient records, select “Import E2E files” under the Database menu and select the E2E files you would like to import.
