Addressing the Challenge of Motion Artifact in OCT Imaging

Presented by SriniVas Sadda, M.D.

Motion artifact is the number one challenge in OCT imaging. Scientists and engineers know the only effective means of addressing this problem is real-time eye tracking during imaging. In this presentation, Dr Sadda will explain why motion is so challenging and why increasing scanning speed cannot overcome the effects of eye motion. He will also present images captured with SPECTRALIS®, the only OCT system that tracks the eye during imaging, and explain the clinical significance of this capability. Q&A session will follow the presentation. 40 min.
