SD-OCT Imaging Contributes to Better Outcomes in Cataract Surgery

In a recent issue of Advanced Ocular Care David M Brown, MD and Eric Kegley, CRA, COA identified SD-OCT imaging as the key to successful cataract procedures. In addition, the authors note that, “The advantage of SPECTRALIS® is that, with its TruTrack Active Eye Tracking, the patient’s fixation is not as important. Also, the SPECTRALIS star pattern gives the clinician the option to have six high-resolution cuts through the foveola, allowing more opportunities to detect foveolar abnormalities with ultra-high resolution[.]”
