Funding Opportunity from the National Center for Research

The National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) anticipates making a substantially greater number of equipment awards under this year’s shared instrumentation/equipment program. They have asked NEI to alert the vision research community to this opportunity.

The Shared Instrumentation Grant Program (S10) solicits applications from groups of three or more NIH-supported investigators who wish to purchase or upgrade commercially-available instruments that cost between $100,000 and $500,000.  Applicants may request one year of funding and a budget up to $500,000 direct costs only.  Eligible applicants must be funded under an active P01, R01, U01, R35, R37, DP1, or DP2 research grant and must require at least 75% usage of the requested instrument.  The three applicants need not be located at a single institution.

This PAR has one receipt date, March 23, 2009.
