3:45PM - 5:45PM (Thursday, October 02, 2008)
This course will use glaucoma cases to discuss new instrumentation (both optic nerve/retinal nerve fiber layer and perimetric instrumentation) related to glaucoma and how each may be used in diagnosing and managing glaucoma. The relationship between structural and functional loss will also be described, and how each instrumentation fits in this dynamic relationship.

31-201-S: The Role Of Spectral Domain OCT In The Management Of Glaucoma And Retinal Disease
8:30AM - 10:30AM (Saturday, October 04, 2008)
Spectral Domain OCT brings additional diagnostic capability to clinical care. SD OCT’s role in the management of glaucoma and retina remains to be fully demonstrated. Clinical performance of newer OCT systems is compared to well established systems of diagnostic imaging in the management of retinal and optic nerve disease.
